IFF was a success. Yeah. Hurray to batch 08.

When we notice that only half of batch 09 turned up, there was an obvious disappointment in everyone’s eyes.

“yer, my group got only 4 students out of 11.”

“What should we do? Should we combine the groups? But the color…”

“The juniors very bad…”

But still, we went on. Thanks to our spirit, we went on.

We started off with our batch dance. Haha. Some of them actually joined in though. Well, you can see they actually admire that we were able to do that.

Then, we literally break the ice. Brilliant idea. Cool...

After ice breaking, the juniors have to seek for their facilitators, making all different moves.

Luckily the juniors that present were quite sporting. Never mind those who din’t turn up. A few of us stood at the side, pretending to be the facilitators, and the juniors got cheated. Haha, I wonder how many time Ghoose Bump rub their backside.

After that, they invented their cheer and then followed by mass games sessions.

"Hahahahaha, everyone is full..." our Head of Consumption laughing happily.

Next come the modules games. It was really fun playing with water. I bet the bill rise high this month. Many of us actually soaked with water.

After break, the event changed to indoor, where the juniors dressed in their costume, and we with our mask. There were some talk, price giving and we did “heal the world” with body language, batch dance and cheer. It ended off with photo sessions, cheers and laughter.

MSK 2009 was held in Youth Club. Our batch was involved in either bureau or as facilitators. Photograph contributed by Bong, and video by Vee.

Day 1, we welcomed the juniors and gave them attributes. There were some commotions between bureau and facilitators, but it resolved with apologies. The juniors then have to find their facilitators with different expressions. Then, there were sessions with bureau, playing games and introductions. There were talks and games sessions. One of the modules was quite messy though.

Day 2, line dance in the morning, then come the much awaited introduction with the seniors. Apparently, our batch was invited to go, but we were not allowed to set a station to introduce our self to the juniors. Perhaps, the juniors were expected to know us? Then, there were games where the juniors have to blind fold themselves and find their destination.

tell them the books you wanna buy to see whether they have the stock.
then bank in money at public bank. Account number 3073758416 under Syarikat Kamal.
Then fax the copy of resit from the bank, together with your address, the books you want and your contact number. Fax number 603-40246415
if you want courier service, you need to pay extra RM32, if just normal post extra RM15.
So, you will receive your book in one day (courier) and 4 days if by posts.

First year OVER!!! finally... well.. what will you say about your 1st year in medical school? Fun? Tragedy? There were sad and happiness, tears and laughter of course. Yinli fall down from the roof, no fun. People got admitted to Patih Rapih due to Dengue Outbreak, no fun. Stay back to take remedial, no fun... So, what's fun? shifting out of Azarine, fun! Just Finish Pathology Post Test today. It is quite difficult in the sense that we had to memorise the reagent.

Anatomy assignment is out and pasted on the board in IP buiding, which means, there will be tentament soon. So sad, Dr. Junaidy is not giving tenteran anymore. I guess the lab assistants are ok though.

Block exam is coming up soon. No idea when, but soon.

Deeparaya Night

On the 23th October, the deeparaya night was held in Pondok Putri Azarine.

During the preparation, many of the committee went to help out. Thanks to creative biro for decorating and thanks for those who helped out to make this event a success.

The event finally started and we ‘walked’ in with much anticipation.

The most special thing for the night is the food. We had a chance to taste Indian food and Malay food. Thanks to the welfare biro. The food was great!

Finally, the prince and the princess were announced. Congratulation to Tharan and pink Sari. They were present with a bike (konon) and were asked to wear the helmet.

Anatomy test had long passed. Sorry for the late post. This was a pre-tentament prepared by the seniors to help us in our tentament. Thanks to them we got a chance to pratice. The seniors were busy putting the bone marking.

Looks like everyone busy studying. memorise, memorise and memorise. Gampateh.

In the middle of everything, there was a blackout and all of us had to do the tentament in dark. Anyhow, it was still a success. It looked like the real one with the alarm and all. Guess next time is our turn to prepare for the juniors.

“Bak Pau!!!”

Poor Bong. Every time blackout, he is the one to be blamed. Thanks to the kettle he uses to boil water.

Lecture in fifth floor was really ‘cool’. We got to study in dark. Okay, there were actually plenty of blackouts in that particular lecture with Dr. Mansyur. It seems like the power supply didn’t want to cooperate. After so many disturbances, luckily, doctor managed to cover most of his slides. But still, we were unlucky we had to study some part of Arthrology on our own. Think optimistically, we won’t be doing so much of a “Cephalo-flexion” in lecture.

A Trip to Borobudur Temple

Last Saturday, The Kamadhis Society organised a trip to Borobudur temple, a buddhist monument in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. We were separated into two buses and departed at the same time.

Unfortunately, one bus broke down on the way. So, we had to come down from the bus and some guys had to push the bus to start the engine. What a scene...

We waited for quite some time before another bus came for rescue.

This guy came up and started to sing. He thought Rufus and Selva were from India... Some said his singing sucks...

Finally, we reached our destination around an hour later.
While waiting for our ticket, many sellers approached us and promoted their products.

This is how Candi Borobudur looks like from far. This monument comprises of six square platform topped by three circular platform. A main doom is located at the top of the platform.

The sellers never quit... They set their price very high. So, you must really cut the price down, at least 2/3 of the actual price...

The Buddha statues (mostly headless) were placed in the perforated stupa. The Buddha looks similar, but they are actually different in Mudras and their hands position. We stretched our hand in to touch the Buddha and made wishes.

A baby is born

The title might seem just as queer as it can be but its just how i made it to sound cute. Well the baby is our international programme commitee which was just form on the 29th of August 2008. From sound votes, Rufus and Hafizah became our president and vice respectively and sadly, i dont have their photographs at the moment but surely i will do so in the future. I suppose in 1 week you can see our 'ganteng'(btw ganteng means handsome xD) president Rufus and the 'imut'(cute) vice. The commitee was set up at the end of the International FUN Fest by our 07 seniors. The whole commitee is now complete and i will later post the profiles of them with their pictures and if possible, hobbies and of course whether he/she is still available or not :). Well i think thats all that i have today. Its a bit dissapointing that this blog is still in its dormant stage. We will try our very best to keep you updated on IP2008 C YA!!
